If you’re looking for an indoor setting, our beautiful Hall has three ceremony rooms to choose from. We also have three outdoor locations if you plan to get married during the summer months. The Bandstand, with its traditional style is right next to the Hall, or there’s the Pergola, which is set within our gorgeous Formal Gardens – and, new for Spring 2022, our Woodland Hideaway is full of rustic charm. With its beautiful leafy setting, we think this is the perfect venue for weddings whatever the season. Often visited by Lewis Carroll, author of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland and Through The Looking-Glass, Walton Hall and Gardens is the former home and gardens of Lord and Lady Daresbury set within acres of tranquil and idyllic parkland and steeped in local history. The elegant, Elizabethan style building has been lovingly restored to its original grandeur so Walton Hall is perfect for weddings and celebrations. The old hall itself boasts unique antique furniture, Victorian paintings, an oak-panelled hall, grand staircase and high gilded ceilings, while the gardens are a mix of woodland walks, flower beds and a picturesque pond, all a perfect setting for your wedding photographs. There is a variety of ceremony locations across the Estate so if you’re looking for an indoor setting, the beautiful Hall has three ceremony rooms to choose from and there is also three outdoor locations if you plan to get married during the summer months, British weather permitting. The Bandstand, with its traditional style sits in the garden right next to the Hall, or there’s the Pergola, which is set within the gorgeous Formal Gardens – and, new for Spring 2022, the Woodland Hideaway, full of rustic charm and somewhere I'm planning on visiting and checking out for myself this year.

Also in the grounds of Walton Hall and something to do the day after the wedding or to keep the kids entertained, there's a fantastic children's playground, a land train that takes you on a wonderful ride through the woodland, touring the outskirts of the Hall, it’s a different and exciting way to see the estate! There's the High Ropes, an adventure course with over 60 different activities with six different levels of difficulty if you fancy going climbing. And that's not all, there is also a children's zoo with donkeys, alpacas, rabbits, potbellied pigs, sheep, pygmy goats, guinea pigs and a colourful, eclectic mix of birds including the notoriously, noisy peacocks. There's also a themed 18 hole adventure golf course alongside a 9 hole pitch and putt set in picturesque park and a bowling green too. It really is a great place to host your wedding or even just visit for a day out, there's so much to do here.
