What can you say about the Liverpool waterfront? It has beauty, it has history, culture, art, music food & drink in a breathtaking setting. The Liverpool skyline is famous around the world. Three Graces. Two Liver Birds and One iconic skyline. It can only be the Liverpool Waterfront. The Liverpool Waterfront is one of the most stunning parts of the city, it’s the image you get in your mind when you think of Liverpool. Stand in the middle of the Pier Head and look up at the iconic Royal Liver Building, turn around to cast your eyes over the famous River Mersey and look to the left to see the Royal Albert Dock, you’re surrounded by history! It’s not all about the history though, sitting alongside and complimenting the beautiful old buildings there are also modern buildings to giving a contemporary feel to the waterfront these days too and nestled in amongst them all you’ll find the Crowne Plaza, on a perfect location to make the most of the world famous Liverpool skyline as the backdrop for your wedding and your wedding photographs.
it is a really popular tourist spot down on the waterfront, at the Albert Dock, around the Liver Building and the others, the Crowne Plaza is away to the right hand of the riverside but just to the left there’s the much quieter Prince’s dock and its’ modern looking Prince’s dock footbridge with its’ very unusual, asymetrical metal design, it contrasts perfectly with the old stone brickwork of the docks and acts almost as a portal to the Mersey estuary, frames the view and is it great spot for some couples, photographs. The Crowne Plaza is also just over the busy Dock Road, which incidentally can make for some great photographs of the newlyweds crossing over the road, from the lovely intimate St. Nichola’s churchyard gardens. It’s a hidden gem and is often quite a bit quieter than down on the waterfront, you’ll get some different views of the Liver building from there and also use the old stone church as a backdrop for photographs too. If your wedding photographs are really important to you and you’d love to make the most of Liverpool iconic landmarks, you won’t go wrong picking the Crowne Plaza for your wedding day. You might even get the added bonus of a huge cruise liner pulling into port down at the Pier Head, that’s something you’re probably going to want to have a photo taken in front of!
