BeerX 2020

Yakima Chief Hops

Just before the Covid-19 Corona Virus Pandemic sent the majority of the world into lockdown, I was asked back to photograph SIBA's BeerX 2020 Independent Craft Beer Brewing Trade Show for Yakima Chief and back at the Arena and Convention Centre in Liverpool city Centre. They again wanted promotional shots of their trade stand and merchandise and the delegates at the show, chatting with staff and enjoying their craft beers available for them to try. It's great being an commercial and corporate photographer covering Liverpool, Manchester and the surrounding areas and it's a bit scary looking back that this event went ahead and while there was certainly evidence of what was to come at the show with a ban on handshakes, sharing glasses and hand sanitiser on all of the stands but I don't think that anyone was quite prepared for what followed in the weeks and months ahead. At the time the Chief Medical Officer recommended that at that stage there was no need to restrict large public gatherings or move to phase two of the plan which includes social distancing measures but it was only days later that the second phase including lockdown and strict social distancing came into play, a day or two later and the event wouldn't have gone ahead.

Bilfiinger Actiu

A CASE STUDY

I was commissioned to take shots to be used in a case study for the multi-national company BiLFINGER in conjunction with Spanish furniture manufacturer Actiu. BiLFINGER were moving premises into a new office from their existing space and wanted me to document the move from the empty space right up to the furniture delivery and set up. I was also asked to set up a time-lapse camera to capture the progress as it happened, there's a link to the video just below.

BeerX 2019

Craft Beer Expo in Liverpool

I was commissioned to take photographs to promote Yakima Chief Hops who exhibited at BeerX at the ACC Liverpool. Yakima Chief Hops is a 100% grower-owned global supplier of premium quality hops and uncompromising service. Passionate about providing brewers with the tools and information to do something special. They are hop masters, beer geeks, farmers and families who share a culture of pride, partnership and innovation centered on sustainably produced hop products and brewing solutions from the Pacific Northwest. They wanted photographs of their impressive stand at the 2019 Siba's BeerX Trade Show, it's the UK's largest independent craft brewing trade show held over 2 days and open to the Society of Independent Brewer's members and non-member breweries alike, as well as representatives from brewing industry businesses and the media. SIBA was established in 1980 to represent the interests of the growing number of independent breweries in Britain as well, it currently represents around 830 independent craft breweries. Beer X features a packed schedule of expert workshops, panel debates, networking opportunities, an expanded exhibition from suppliers of products and services, and the SIBA AGM - plus a trade-only beer showcase exclusively featuring award winning independent craft beers in cask, keg, bottle & can. Held at the ACC Exhibition Centre in Liverpool, an outstanding conference and event venue right on Liverpool’s iconic waterfront, a world-class facility in a unique setting. The Liverpool event campus is an interconnected arena, convention and exhibition centre and since opening in 2008 they have successfully staged a wide array of national and international events, from shows to conventions, business gatherings to showcase exhibitions, delivering a winning combination to event organisers, delegates and visitors alike.

AAC Liverpool

Liverpool Arena and Convention Centre in the City Centre

I was asked to take some shots of the Arena and Convention Centre Liverpool's meeting rooms and terrace to be used in their Marketing. The ACC is sat right next to, and part of the Echo Arena on the waterfront. It really is an absolutely fantastic Venue, I hadnt realised just how vast the space is and I cannot wait to do some more work for them in the future, I'm really Looking forward to it and thrilled to be on their books. I've never attempted this kind of photography before and was Delighted to have been asked, It's amazing, exciting and humbling seeing your photos used by such a huge company.
