I photographed my first wedding at Alder Root Golf Club, located on the outskirts of Warrington, a good few years ago now. It's one of my most local wedding venues, less than 10 minutes away. Since then, it has been really interesting to watch it transform and develop into a popular little wedding venue. When I first photographed a wedding at Alder Root in Winwick, the facilities were still quite basic and there wasn't an awful lot there: a simple marquee, the clubhouse with a lawned area, and of course, the expansive golf course. However in recent years, significant investment and upgrades have been made to this Warrington wedding venue and I now get a lot more enquiries and bookings to photograph weddings at Alder Root, reflected in its' recent surge in popularity.
The marquee has been enhanced and extended, it's now capable of accommodating a larger number of guests for wedding celebrations and the outside areas have undergone a comprehensive makeover, incorporating lots of rustic timber cladding and little details that all help to add a charming, natural look. A new covered BBQ area and gazebo provide additional spaces for guests to relax and enjoy the festivities. The outdoor lighting has been revamped, featuring plenty of festoon lights that create a warm and inviting ambiance in the evening, perfect for your reception. All these improvements have resulted in giving Alder Root Golf Club a smart, rustic, yet modern and stylish appearance that blends seamlessly with the surrounding landscape and increase in demand as a wedding venue.

Both the garden areas, next to the club house and the marquee at Alder Root golf club, are perfect areas for your group photographs and for guests to unwind and enjoy the sunshine (hopefully- it is the UK after all). However.... The garden area next to the marquee is an great for some more energetic party games for the kids (and the adults too) and it adds a brilliantly fun element to your big day. Alder Root Golf Club offers a set range of buffet style menus for you to choose from but they can also be tailored to meet your requirements (and budget) or they're happy to create a bespoke buffet menu just for you! There is an A LA CARTE menu available if you'd prefer and a children's menu AND if that isn't enough, there's also a range of Party Packages to choose from too. So whether you fancy sandwiches, pizzas, pies, sausage rolls and nibbly bits or a traditional hotpot or tasty curry, sausage and bacon barms or speaking from experience, my own personal favourite the Alder Root BBQ!! Whatever you fancy feeding your guests for your big day, they've pretty much got you covered.

The speeches are over, your wedding guests are fed and watered and it's almost time for your first dance together as newlyweds...
Imagine the marquee transformed and ready for the evening, beautifully set with soft lighting emphasised by the white draped curtains adding to the ambience, your wedding guests cheering as you both take to the dance floor. Your wedding song starts to play, outside the sun begins to set, surrounded by the Cheshire countryside the manicured greens of the golf course are visible through the marquee's windows, casting
a soft glow adding a touch of natural beauty to the occasion.

Sparklers at Alder Root Golf Club in Winwick, Warrington, Cheshire is a great way to cap off your wedding celebrations. Imagine the scene, as the evening turns to dusk, guests gather outside the marquee, each holding a sparkling sparkler. The atmosphere is filled with excitement and anticipation, as the newlyweds walk through a pathway lined with guests holding aloft their sparkling sparklers, a great way to round off the wedding photographs and they're a great way to bring your Storybook Wedding Album to a close.
