Lancashire Wedding Photography• Wendie & Helen 22.09.2017

Well the weather just wasn't playing ball for Wendie & Helen on their big day, it was such a shame because the National Trust venue, Rufford Old Hall just outside Ormskirk and on the way to Preston has some absolutely beautiful gardens and woodland areas for photographs, you win some you lose some I guess! On the plus side though, the Hall itself is stunning, a timber-framed Tudor building with over 500 years of history along with suits of armour, antique furniture and intricate wood carvings it makes the perfect backdrop for your wedding ceremony, a gorgeous building and a great place for getting some photographs, whatever the weather. There was no coverage of the Bridal prep wanted for this wedding, just simply the ceremony and then a few shots back at the reception held at The Rufford Arms Hotel aftwerwards. However, when Wendy and Helen booked me for their wedding I never imagined that's exactly what it would be, I've never had to do the group shots in a hotel reception ever before, really challenging in a very tight space and not much of a chance for anything else, as I said, a real pity there wasn't more of an opportunity to get some shots either a back at Rufford Old Hall or in the fields and country lanes around the hotel, good old british weather eh! Hoping for better luck next time i get to shoot another wedding there. At the time of writing I haven't recieved any wedding supplier information but i'll update this blog just as soon as I do.
